Subaru’s iconic 2.5 litre turbocharged ‘boxer’ engine has for the second time won the International Engine Of The Year Award 2008. Subaru’s 2.5 litre horizontally-opposed turbo-petrol engine has topped its category, voted the best in the 2.0 to 2.5 litre class, beating rival engines from BMW, Toyota, Lexus, Honda, Mazda, Ford, Land Rover, Lancia and Peugeot/Citroën.
